Hopewell/Prince George Chamber of Commerce will hold its 98th
Annual Mixer on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at The Barns of Kanak
, 5503 Ruffin Rd., in Prince George County. This large regional networking event, introduced by signature sponsor Southside Regional Medical Center, will feature a program by Jason Roop, former long-time editor of Style Weekly Magazine and current Principal of the PR and Marketing Firm, Springstory
. The title “A New Narrative” addresses the Chamber’s upcoming 100th
Anniversary as well as the opportunity for all attendees to hear a refreshing take on the importance of storytelling in marketing a business, a community, a cause. The choice of the venue is apropos since a 118 year old farm yard, including home and outbuildings has been re-purposed as a wedding and special event venue with the remainder of the farm still in crops.
Local merchants will be showcasing their foods including oysters from the Boathouse at City Point, Sliders 'n Slaw from Saucy’s, and a taste of a cocktail made with locally distilled Three Brothers Whiskey mixed by the owner himself, signature clam chowder from Captain D's and more!
This event is open to chamber members and the public. Attendees will be greeted with valet parking and may arrive at 4:30 PM for a tour of the venue with the official networking to begin at 5:30 PM and the program starting promptly at 6 PM. Reservations may be made on line www.hpgchamber.org
