Local Artist Hosts Open Studio in Prince George County, VA
On November 11th 2017 local artist Ed Hatch opened his studio to the public for a day of refreshments, friendly conversation, and over fifty new works!
Ed Hatch is quoted on his website saying, “I see such extraordinary beauty in everyday moments – moments that might go unnoticed.”
You truly feel this sentiment when enjoying any of Ed’s works. Many of the subjects of his works are focused on the overlooked angles in nature which Ed brings to life on canvas.
Ed has been a full-time artist for more than 20 years! Inspiringly, he centers his life at the same country crossroads where he grew up in Prince George County, where his great-grandparents opened a general store in 1915. Today his studio sits across the street from the house where his father lived, and just a stone's throw away from his childhood home where he currently lives.
