Located on 15th
Avenue in Hopewell, Virginia is a quaint bowling alley that has been family owned since 1955.
The owner, Mike Zevgolis, was so passionate about continuing the sport for younger generations that he took it upon himself in the 1980s to organize and transport students back and forth from Hopewell Schools to include bowling in physical education!
Now under new management, the Zevgolis family business finds itself in what The Progress Index calls a renaissance. Leagues for young and old, cornhole tournaments, cold beer, and hot food make the Hopewell Bowling Center a hopping spot most nights!
The original hardwood lanes will be replaced for synthetic this summer, so make it down for a game (or two!) and experience Hopewell bowling history soon!
