Honoring Community Members Dedicated to River Conservation in Hopewell and Prince George County, VA
Last week we had the honor of attending “FOLAR Fling” held at Pamplin Historical Park in Dinwiddie County. This event was a special one because of how many community members were recognized for their dedication to one of our most important, and most beautiful, natural resources here in Hopewell and Prince George County!
There are 6 affiliated local jurisdictions that are graced by the Appomattox River. All 6 were represented at the “FOLAR Fling” last week! This network of community partnership shows how important the health and vibrancy of the Appomattox River is to all of us on its banks.
Those recognized were Jerry Skalsky, Richard Taylor, Chriskian Volk, Col. Jeffery Newton, Rev. Darrell Boggs, John McEwen, the John Randolph Foundation, Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries, and the City of Hopewell.
