• Get Outside! Last Step to Beat Winter Blues in Hopewell and Prince George County, Virginia

    February 23, 2018
There are lots of beautiful parks and scenic river views in Hopewell and Prince George County, VA. I think the best way to experience both of these is an organized running or walking event!

With the warmer months fast approaching, you can bet there will many opportunities to participate in an event incorporating outdoor recreation and the beautiful rivers we are lucky to have here!

The combination of exercising releasing endorphins and calming feelings induced by the visual aesthetic of riverfront trails makes a spring 5k run or walk a great way to rid yourself of the winter blues!

One of the first local runs will be held at Prince Gorge County’s Appomattox River Regional Park located at 800 Folar Trail, N. Prince George, VA 23860 on Saturday APRIL 7TH

This 5k Trail Run is sponsored by Prince George County, VA’s Parks and Recreation, the Riverside Regional Jail, and the Friends of the Lower Appomattox River (FOLAR).
