The Hopewell Phase 2 nitrogen reduction project has earned a Grand Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Virginia. In 2012 Phase 1 of this project separated domestic wastewater from industrial. Now, Phase 2 will reduce the total discharge of nitrogen into the James River. This project, completed 4 months ahead of schedule and $14 million under budget, will allow the Chesapeake Bay to remain America's largest and most productive tributary for decades to come!
