• History comes alive in Hopewell Virginia

Nestled on the bank of the Appomattox River is a home built in 1789. Weston Plantation has been home to the Gilliam family, then the Nelsons, then the Woods, then the Dolans, and now the Historic Hopewell Foundation.

One of the best ways to create a unique experience at a historical site is through costumed interpreters. Here are a few photographs highlighting Weston's history through costumed volunteers.
