PestMaster of Richmond just finished its 3rd acquisition in a year with R.D. Dereski Termite & Pest. Headquartered in Hopewell, Virginia.
“Dereski Pest”, was founded by Robert “Bobby” Dereski Sr. in 1973. His son Robert “Dale” Dereski Jr. joined the family business full-time in 1994. The Dereski’ s have built a strong reputation of integrity and hard work, something they take very seriously. It was important to them that the company that assumed responsibility for their client’s businesses, homes, and families have those same values. “We feel very good about entrusting the clients we have served over the last 50 years to Justin and his team. We have seen their dedication and commitment to excellence and integrity. We know our clients are in great hands!”, Dereski said. “Dereski has been a dedicated chamber member and volunteer on the Hopewell Emergency Crew and this retirement is deserved, but he will be missed”, according to Becky McDonough, CEO of the HPG Chamber.
U.S. Army veteran, Justin Kendall, of Mechanicsville opened his PestMaster location in August of 2018. He brought on his friend of many years, Sam Sopp, and the two have been working hard to grow the business while maintaining their high level of service. “We are selective when it comes to which companies we will acquire and Dereski fits our criteria. They have a strong reputation locally and half a century of customer loyalty. We look forward to continuing those relationships and enhancing the service to the area.” Kendall said.
Kendall is an associate-certified entomologist and currently serves as a director on the board of the Virginia Pest Management Association. Kendall has over 18 years of experience in the Pest Management and Public Health sector.
Sam Sopp has a strong background in the Pest Management industry managing some of the largest branches in the country for a top 10 pest control company prior to joining PestMaster.
