Wonderful Wonder City Beer Festival
Wonder City Craft Beer Festival 2019
Hopewell enjoyed another successful beer festival this weekend as 3,000 people made their way downtown to sample craft beer from dozens of brewers and eats from fantastic food trucks. Turbulent weather the day before gave way to pristine conditions as hordes descended on the Wonder City to imbibe local brews.
Local favorites Magnolia graced the stage and got a pretty awesome reaction from the crowd with their opeining cover of Manfred Mann's "Might Quinn". Richmond act, RVA Growlers also laid down a few righteous tunes that had the crowd grooving.
One of the best and most notable things about the Wonder City Craft Beer Festival was the diversity of attendees. Locals, out-of-towners, singles, families, and cool cats with a plethora of wardrobe preferences strolled about the venue under the warm sun.
As they say in the moving pictures, 'a good time was had by all'. Thanks to The City of Hopewell, Hopewell Recreation & Parks, The Hopewell Downtown Partnership, and of course The Beacon Theatre for making it happen. Can't wait to see y'all next year! Somebody bring the sunscreen.
