Wrap up this year’s Virginia Farmers Market Week in Prince George County, Va!
If you’re just now tuning in, all week we’ve been highlighting the best of our local farmers and farmers markets in Hopewell and Prince George. As sad as it feels to wrap this short series up, remember fall brings a whole new harvest! Yay! Just think, pumpkins, and apples, and sweet potatoes, YUM!
Celebrate and support local farms and artisans this Saturday, August 12th at Scott Memorial Park in Prince George County from 8AM-noon. The Prince George Farmers Market prides themselves in supporting local growers, producers, and artisans. They feature locally grown produce, honey, eggs, plants, herbs, mushrooms, baked goods and handmade crafts weekly through October 28th!
This weekend, stock up on local in-season produce like sweet corn, watermelons, cantaloupe, peaches, blackberries, and blueberries. Mark your calendars to visit the market in the fall, too! Can you feel your pumpkin spice senses tingling?
If you’re a local farmer, or a local farm-lover, stop by the Hopewell Prince George Visitor Welcome Center. Our travel advisors would love to hear your story, and can lead you to the next local farmers market!
