    What is a Comprehensive Plan?
The Comprehensive Plan sets long-term goals for Prince George County Public Schools and describes how the division will work toward them and measure progress. Virginia law requires each local school board to adopt a plan that uses data to identify what students and schools need and guide decisions about how to improve classroom instruction and student achievement. The plan also addresses how the division will prepare for changes in student enrollment, use technology to support learning, and consider opportunities to share programs or services with neighboring school divisions.

School staff, families, and community members help shape the plan by sharing what is working well and where schools need more support. The Comprehensive Plan also includes a Family Engagement Plan that outlines how schools will build stronger partnerships with parents and caregivers and create more opportunities for families to take part in their children's education.
